The Gold Coast offers a wide variety of both indoor and outdoor venues that are suitable for civil ceremonies.

Outdoor ceremonies are usually held in beautiful settings, but it is best to have alternative arrangements should it rain.  Distractions such as noisy traffic and children playing nearby need to be considered.  If the service is to be held in the hot months, consider shade for the comfort of your guests and chairs for those who need to sit down.  For weddings a small table with at least one chair is needed for the signing of the Certificate of Marriage.

Although it is usually not necessary to rehearse a Civil Ceremony, it is important to discuss where the wedding party and guests will be standing, and the location of the group may determine the arrangement for the service.  This is important too for your photographer who will want the best angle for crucial shots.

In some settings I use a microphone if the location is one in which it is difficult to be heard.
